Katherine Ross graduated with a Masters Degree in Counseling and Human Development from The George Washington University. She is a nationally certified counselor and brings with her extensive experience working in a variety of educational communities and counseling settings, most recently to include The George Washington Community Counseling Services Center, The British International School of Washington, Alice Deal Middle School, and St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School. In addition to her work at Gunzburg & Associates, Katherine provides school placement guidance to students and families at The School Counseling Group in Washington, DC. Her experiences have allowed her to work with a diverse population, whose learning, emotional, and social functioning cover a wide spectrum, to include adjustment and interpersonal difficulties, sexual assault, anger management, anxiety, conflict resolution, body image issues, social skills development, low self-esteem, and executive functioning for students struggling with an ADHD diagnosis.
At Gunzburg & Associates, Katherine specializes in helping young students and adolescents struggling with executive function management and/or ADHD, as well as any co-occurring difficulties such as anxiety, depression, and other academic difficulties. Katherine also continues to provide group and individual counseling at independent schools in the Metropolitan Washington DC area.
Katherine holds an undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and worked in public relations and school development before realizing her passion for counseling, helping students make the most of their educational experience, however that may be or whatever that may look like.
