Mick Neustadt is a licensed clinical social worker. Mick has over 20 years of experience working with young people, adults and families as a teacher, athletics coach, and as a therapist in schools and counseling centers. Over the past decade he has focused on serving young people and their families through his work as a therapist in alternative schools, and a public high school in Montgomery County, In addition to this work, Mick has extensive experience in teaching Mindfulness to young people and adults. He has taught weekly classes and workshops for students, teachers and administrators, in public and private schools in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania. He continues to lead weekly Mindfulness groups for young people and adults.
As a therapist, Mick’s calm and welcoming presence provides clients with a secure and open environment in which to engage in therapy. He believes in partnering with clients to engage in exploring, and becoming more familiar with themselves, as well as the outer influences that affect their well being. Mick has worked extensively with clients around depression, anxiety, anger/emotional management.grief and loss and substance use and abuse.
Mick holds a Masters in Social Work from The Catholic University of America, and a BA in Education from American University.
